My Interview with Qin

Question: Why do you think having a spy system is good for China?
Answer:
Having a spy system keeps this country strong. If we have a spy
system China will be hard working, and turn in those slackers who don’t
work as hard as they should or if they goof off on the job. I will be
able to know what is going on in China . It keeps China aware and on
their feet.
Question: Why should we build a Great Wall?
Answer:
We should build a Great Wall because it will prevent invaders from
entering China. We won’t be put to war defending China, because the
wall will end the war from the beginning. If the invaders can’t enter
China they wont be able to attack. The wall will go at the northern
border of China where we take most of our blows. It is easier to travel
over land, so the wall must be on the northern border. We will
experience less wars and feel more secure as a country.
Question: Why did you split China into 36 provinces?
Answer:
I split China into 36 provinces because it would be much harder to
know what is going on around China. Not knowing what is going on could
cause rebellions, and if China is split up into 36 provinces, China will
be more secure. I had elected 2 of my best government officials to run
each province. The provinces will have support and someone to guide
them, rather than let the people rot and panic not knowing what to do
for themselves. I believe this is the best way to run China.
Question: What do you think about Confucius?
Answer:
I disagree strongly with the teaching of Confucius. All Confucian
scholars who spread and teach others about the beliefs of Confucius will
be executed immediately. All book that teach Confucianism will be
burned to erase all the ideas of Confucianism. All people who rebel
against this will be forced to work on the Great Wall immediately. All
followers will be forced to work on the Great Wall. I don’t agree with
the teachings of Confucius.
Question: Do you have hopes as emperor?
Answer:
I have the hope that the workers will finish the Great Wall within my
limit of 30 years. I also am going to be immortal. My people within
the government have created me my very own immortality pills. They make
me immortal and strong as leader or China.
Me: Thank you for your time Emperor Qin.
Emperor Qin: Thank you for having me.

Map of Qin Dynasty

The Qin dynasty, which occurred at around 221- 206 B.C.E., had a much smaller border than present day China. The dotted lines represent the borders for present day China. The Blue line represents the Great Wall which was constructed during the Qin dynasty. The Great Wall covered the entire northern border of China and part of the western border. There was a strip of the Great wall built closer the city Xianyang to protect the city from the north. The Great Wall was mainly used to protect China from the northern invaders who were most deadly to the Chinese at the time of the Qin dynasty. The Qin dynasty consisted of 36 smaller provinces within China. This was done to keep China more in control. This kept China in control because 1 emperor that rules all of China which might cause rebellions. If this happened the emperor wouldn’t know about it. To prevent this emperor Qin elected 2 government officials to run each province rather than let the province run itself. With not as much experience the province would fall. Government officials keep the province on track. Xianyang was the capital of China during the Qin dynasty. The Qin dynasty was located on the eastern part of present day China right next to the east China sea and the Yellow sea. The present day Yangtze River ran through the south of China and at the north the present day Yellow River.

Lifesaver roads: Qin dynasty magic
Roads invented during the Qin Dynasty

There
were many inventions during the Qin dynasty, one of those was the road.
The road is a long strip of flat stones spread out across a piece of
land. The road is equivalent to the modern U.S. 15 feet wide. The road
can be many miles long. Roads were used to guide people to certain
locations. The road used during the Qin dynasty was used to guide
people to certain locations throughout China a lot easier. The road
made traveling easier for everyone. The road was especially used for
the army which let them spread out more and move faster to their needed
location.
The
road has really changed the life of people. Without the road traveling
would be a pain because you would have no sense of direction and could
end up being lost and even killed from starvation and maybe even killed
by an animal from traveling in the direction of their home. The road
today is extremely helpful and provides a great, more efficient way to
get to where you need to go. Roads over waterways also make it more
much faster than hopping on a boat just to get to the other side.
Without roads the United States wouldn’t be the same nation it is
today. Roads lead people to food markets, and without food we would all
die. Roads organize towns. Roads even being as simple as a strip of
tar are one of the most effective invention the world will even know.
The
road during the Qin dynasty was developed during the time span of 221
B.C.-206 B.C. The road was created in China. The road was used in
other countries as well. The road was used in other countries to make
traveling a lot easier and faster. It provided a guide to where you
were heading. The road was also used to transport goods a lot faster.
